Chat System Guide

The Athelm chat system is the command center for your AI team.

Direct messages Send a message directly to any team member. Type their name with @ (e.g., @Marcus) to route specifically to them. Without an @, The Architect picks the best person.

Group chats Involve multiple team members in one conversation. @mention several at once and each responds in sequence. Use group chats for reviews, brainstorms, or cross-functional decisions.

Project chats Long-running goal-oriented conversations. The Architect tracks progress, assigns tasks to team members, and reports back when work is complete. Your project chat becomes a live status board.

Message history All conversations are stored on your server. Use the session sidebar to navigate between past conversations. Sessions are searchable by keyword or date.

File attachments Upload files directly in chat. Your team can read, analyze, summarize, or transform them. Outputs are saved to your files panel automatically.
